Over the last year (2012) the price of solar panels has dropped drastically with systems now well under £10,000 for a 4kWp. As of 2015 the price of solar has dropped further and 4kWh systems can cost between £5000 and £6000.
The cut off point for Feed In Tariffs in the UK is 4kWp so systems need to be under this output to qualify for the highest FIT rates. The FAQ section covers many of the questions that we wanted to know before installing our own solar panels.
